Have you received your DRC Allocation?

Backup the truck! Wait, that is in HKD, right ?

I guess if one can’t buy them direct, or through a distributor the only way to play is to pay retail? Expensive hobby!

A couple months ago you could buy a lot of great wine at low prices. I think that window is pretty much closed, though. I was buying 15-16 DRC for much less than the 17 prices, though.

Decent offering from vinopolis especially for LT

What are they asking? I can’t find it listed on their website.

3400 for lt. 14k for rc, 6k for Monty. No idea if they are sold or not.

Also, whwc Has decent deals on ech, rsv, and richebourg.

I’d like to find decent deals on rsv as I heard it’s a gem in 17. However, I’ve gotten a couple from nice vintages for ~1600 a pop lately.

I’ve heard similar about the RSV. It apparently switched places with the Richebourg in Aubert’s tasting lineup, which hasn’t happened in a decade.

I picked up my La Tache for $3250, which I though seemed high, but looking at WineSearcher doesn’t seem to be the case. I actually left one on the table and will likely return for it.

I think the richebourg will ultimately be the better wine and a little lighter bodied richebourg isn’t actually a bad thing; that said, I heard it wasn’t the big bruising wine it typically is. I still ended up getting the richebourg given the fact that there were better vintages of the rsv available for less than the asking price.

I think 3250 isn’t bad. Vinopolis 3400 w/o tax is pretty good too.

DRC did not produce their own Montrachet in 2016 due to the frost. Hence, the 7 Domaines coming together to produce a one of a kind bottle for the vintage year 2016.

I hear ya. My note was simply a validation that there aren’t many of these bottles floating around out there. I wonder if they’re logged in CT with a unique Producer listed?

I know of a few collectors who received a bottle each. And one of them has already enjoyed their bottle! 500 bottles sold will slowly dwindle down to very few as people enjoy them, thus making this bottle potentially one of the most expensive Montrachet ever produced.

FYI, more logged here: 2016 Domaine Leflaive Montrachet L'Exceptionnelle Vendanges des Sept Domaines, France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru - CellarTracker

Good find. It’s an ultra rare bottle that’s for sure!

If that valuation is grounded, 8 Gs a bottle rare

Well, that is pretty much the average annual production of d’Auvenay Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet…
