I’ve got you Patrick!!
2017 Goodfellow Berserker Cuvee PN which I think I picked up on a more recent BD or perhaps a different special offer.
Wow, the spices on the nose are just incredible right from PNP. Very nicely balanced and just wonderful all around.
I’m so happy to hear that @JoeL13, @gavin.f and everyone is enjoying the ASV Chardonnay! This wine is now sold out in the U.S., with only a small amount left in my library. I am making ASV’s Petite Arvine and they are fermenting in barrels as I speak!
I hope other Berserkers enjoy the bottles they’ve acquired here. Cheers! ![]()

I brought a 2015 Suzor Wines Pinot Noir “The Tower” (along with a 2016 Corison Cabernet Sauvignon) and
@Matt_England provided a 2022 Di Costanzo Cabernet Sauvignon “DI CO”.
The Suzor still had years left if anyone is holding on to theirs.
I’m having the remaining glass of Suzor right now. Smells oxidized but actually tastes better than last night as it’s mellowed out nicely
2023 Hundred Suns Old Eight Cut Chardonnay.
Very enjoyable. Fresh, lemony, a nice saline streak. Good finish. Excellent QPR at $35, and obviously even better during Berserkerday.
It was BD in 2017. I drank mine in 2021. Good on you for holding on to t
Served some S-F at a fundraiser. @Adam_Frisch
Had the '11 Virage last night with my wife. Opened and let it sit in the glass for about 30 minutes. In a perfect spot right now.
2023 Sabelli-Frisch Biograf Picpoul: Pobega’d this bottle from my delivery today! Prior to opening I had to do a little recon to see what Picpoul was gonna be like, I thought it was gonna be a round white from Rhone, like Marsanne, Rousanne, Viognier etc but google quickly told me otherwise. One taste and yeah this isnt some oily sweet beast this thing is lazer sharp with golden fruits, citrus and oodles of acidity. If you like a high acid lazerbeam white I reccomend this! The golden fruit is unique and brings a fun dimension to this. The table enjoyed this more than the napa chardonnay it accompanied.
Not wine, but we finally busted open the red vermouth from Sun Break, and we are really enjoying it in our Negronis. I will definitely be re-stocking in January.
Well . . . The name Picpoul loosely translates to ‘lip stinger’ . . . So if you have a Picpoul that is NOT crisp and laser focused it’s not ‘true to form’ so to speak . . .
Cheers
Ours arrived yesterday (left on the porch by FedEx
) and we poured a glass or two tonight. I agree with your notes and loved the wine. My husband loved it, too.
For BD14 I purchased two of the T.Berkley “Francophile 3-Pack” each containing Ophelia Cabernet Franc from vintages 2017, 2018 and 2019. Some time ago I took a peek at one of the 2017s and one of the 2018s, each time thinking “this wine would benefit greatly from some age.” Well, tonight I had a piece of steak to cook and thought, "perhaps I should take a look at one of those T.Berkley Cab Francs . . . and ended up opening the 2017. Really glad I gave these wines a little time, as t’s very nice and generous at this point, with a beautiful nose on it. Worked really well with the steak and sautéed mushroom garnish.
