I was just going to recommend the same thing - Just got back from N’Awlins and sampled quite a few different Gumbos - Abita’s beers are the perfect compliment -
Duck and andouille gumbo at Herbsaint on Monday likely would have paired well with Abita - but I can vouch for the 1999 Bovio Barolo Vigna Gattera being an excellent match.
