Green Chile Chicken Soup with 2002 Pfalz Riesling

Tonight’s dinner was green chile chicken soup, made with the broth from the green chile chicken stew we had with Jeff, a small extra chicken leg - browned and braised in vegetable stock, with chopped & granulated garlic, for a couple hours, until the meat was falling of the bone, then I added left-over broccoli with about fifteen minute to go. We very much enjoyed a Winegut Reichstadt von Buhl 2002 Forster Jesuitiergarten (Pfalz) Riesling Spátlese - good light yellow in color, bright white fruits, adequate acidity, with a long fruity finish.

Then for dessert we had St. André and Provençal Brie cheeses with raisins and pistachios with a lovely 375ml 2003 Long Vineyards Botyris Riesling - light yellow in color, good white fruits, good acidity, and a long fruity finish.
