Dan, I’m seeing more and more of this in restaurants across the country. Not for the month, but a 50% off any wine on the list for 2 nights per week.
Great to see restaurants doing this to bring more business in on a more regular business.
I think in many cases it means that they have to move stock to create cash flow. Not necessarily a good sign, but if you like the resto and the list, definitely go for it – you’re doing both them and yourself a favor.

The Modern in NYC has a no corkage policy on Monday nights. I took advantage of it twice, once in July and once in August. I am not sure how much longer it will last. By the way, the wine service didn’t suffer much at all. We had 5 different wines between the four of us. They decanted the first two for us but we did the rest. The extra stems we requested were cheerfully provided.
No corkage at Dylan Prime through Labor Day.
