I finally got around to eating at the Artigiano food cart on SE Division in Portland, Oregon. I figured since Saveur magazine has “outed” them as a great spot I had better eat there before they start drawing lines to rival Voodoo Doughnuts. Boy was I impressed. I had the Yukon Gold gnocchi that is tossed in sage-browned butter and then garnished with filberts, parmigiano reggiano and smoked pancetta. This was probably the best gnocchi I have had since moving back to Portland. All fresh made daily by Chef Rachael Grossman. They have outdoor seating for 16 people and you can legally bring your own bottle(s) of wine to have w/your meal. And there’s no corkage fee! The fact Salt & Straw has an ice cream cart about 10 feet away is just a bonus.
