Great Berkeley restaurant?

I went to Chez Panisse last week and sat in the dining room. Upstairs was full. The meal was very good. 4 course for $100 so maybe a little over priced but the food was all executed very, very well. The food is simple but ingredients are good and it is well prepared. Wine list is very serviceable. I would go back.
Alice Waters was there and we asked her to come over an sign a menu for a young diner that was with us. She did send over a glass of 1999 Unico which they were drinking that was completely cooked.

my wife had to have the taxi pull over because she was so sick from what she ate that she vomited.

When this happens the relationship is over. I’ve had several good meals there upstairs and down over the years but i understand why you’re not interested in going back.

Wow, that’s harsh. I don’t know how long they’ve been married for but give her another chance.
