And once again, thanks to Roberto for turning me on to this guy’s blog - one of my favorite writers on Italian wine, and this is a nice intro article on the Etna production area in Sicily.

He also briefly mentions Bill Nesto’s book in his article (link below) - another nice read if you want to know more about Sicilian wines, although the topics covered in Bill’s book are much broader than what’s grown on the slopes of Etna.

That picture is scary: I think about Etna blowing it’s top and filling all those houses below it with lava, ash, and pumice, aka Pompei. Can’t argue for the location though - such beautiful scenery to be working in!
