Grassl Cru vs 1855

True story;
Burgundy wineries who have adopted our glass………

Use the Liberté.

Cru is a natural choice due to its shape as being familiar to many as a ‘Burgundian’ glass.

Dujac. Boillot. Roulot. And some I can’t speak to out of their request, have migrated to our Liberté glass for red and white Burgundian wines.

Here is my honest opinion. Drink it from the glass that expresses the wine the way YOU like it at the moment you’re drinking it.

Cru, while being designed for single grape wines, also serves wines with oak treatment well.

Liberté has a propensity to focus the nose. The age of the wine can dictate that more than the grape in my own personal experience.

We don’t seek to tell you which glass to use. We are happy to tell you which glass a winemaker prefers their wines in.

But I strongly advise you to taste from different glasses (mine or others!) each time you open a bottle.

Life is an adventure. Wine is dynamic.
