Finally, something that might give Ovid some proper cabernet typicity!

Of course, I brought the Vatan, my buddy brought the Ovid. He easily has 150+ bottles of it, been buying since first release.

Luckily, he had already consumed 3/4s of the Caymus before I got there!

I walked in late to a business wine hour this week where 2016 Caymus was being consumed. The Caymus was 3/4 gone, luckily just enough for me to have a glass before another bottle was offered which of course out of etiquette I had to have a second glass. If you’d handed me a glass of melted jolly ranchers I am not sure I would’ve known the difference. Not to mention the headache the next day. From two 4-5 oz pours!

On the Ovid topic. I don’t recall what it was but we had some Ovid experiment whites in 2019. Some of the most off putting wine ever. Was nearly undrinkable.
