Any chance of them having a Napa Valley reference map?
It changes to quickly to put down on paper.
Wow, there’s lots of maps of burgundy online for free. For $90 it better be molded to the shape of the terrain! And textured to simulate the different soil types!
These are way cool maps; Chrish used to have them in his store.
Although the printers/authors made a weird executive decision when printing them - North/South and East/West are not the same on these maps as what we are accustomed to viewing [they’re rotated about 90º clockwise], so sometimes you can get a little disoriented when reading them [if you’re not careful].
But there is a huge wealth of information on these charts.
I’d love to see similar maps for places like the Mosel, and the Wachau.
It’s a bit expensive to display a map of Burgundy in the kitchen on a LCD screen. These maps are big and look nice on the wall. I guess that’s the whole point of their existence.
Those maps are pretty big! They would look good on a big wall or in a nice cellar…
I have these maps framed in my hallway. They are big and pretty bad ass… for being French.
There is also a composite map of the Cote de Beaune and the Cote de Nuits that I have in my condo in Dallas. Very nice for standing up and lecturing about where the wine we’re drinking now came from after the fourth or fifth bottle when the crowd has tired of your third or forth recitation of the “Today is the feast of St. Crispin” soliloquy form Henry V.
They are also very practical for the purpose of teaching kids, starting very early on with daily lessons in the kitchen (this is based on on a true story).
This I why I have my Burgundy maps (bought at the Athenaeum in Beaune ) framed in my basement near the piano – we do Burgundy geography lessons at least once a week for my two boys!

As far as I know you get the same maps from Bouchard for free, at least 2 years ago a merchant gave them to me saying that.
Great maps on Michiel Carpentiers website http://www.vinotopia.be" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
