Bourbon county barrel stout I believe.
Is this stuff like when they started making wine coolers for women that couldn’t handle the real stuff? When they started putting lots of rs in and adding flavors like vanilla and blueberry and watermelon directly into the ‘wine’?
Bourbon. Distill lots of corn, and some wheat and rye. Put in charred american oak barrel (no flavorings!). Leave alone in a hot warehouse for 10-20 years, then bottle it. So easy. No need for vanilla or ‘stout’ or whatever the hell Mexican cake is.
Peter, these are big, heavy imperial stouts aged for months in used bourbon barrels. Some of them get additions before or after fermentation (coffee, vanilla beans, cocoa, etc.).
