Gewüztraminer Andreas Vineyard 2015, Biggio-Hamina

My pleasure Davy, it feels good to have done some good. Prose it up baby.

Just arrived. This is certainly rose colored. I’m going to open one this weekend.

So happy you’ve had a turn for the better. Love your writing and of course, you’re aces with me (Dani too)!

Thank you, Corey! You are always a great friend and I’ve appreciated your support when things have been rough. It’s good they are better now.

Cheers,
Davy.

it’s like when Scorsese had the foresight to cast Al Pacino as Michael in the Godfather.

That’s new info for me. I didn’t know Scorsese did the Godfather.

My notes on my first of 6 bottles. [swoon.gif]

This wine is rose colored. This bottle, if I were to rate the nose, would rate at 100 points. Oh my! What an incredible sweetie nose. Just one problem, you can’t drink the nose. The wine tasted more like flavored water.

This was flat and thin. Very easy drinking. It would make a good wine for a hot summer day to non-geeks. The perfect giftable bottle to reduce my inventory. [wink.gif]

I’m not upset about the $15 cost. It was worth a shot. I am annoyed with myself for spending $90 when I’ve been a good boy about reducing my purchases.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy it, Dan. The wisdom of crowds, however wise that may be, suggests it is better than you paint it…

D.

I agree Davy. There’s a famous outfit in Tampa, FL with a cellar to drool for slovenly that pours it by the glass…

Bottle #2 opened at Sunday brunch. This bottle was much better than the first. That bottle was popped 4 days after arrival.
The nose is still killer. This bottle still tastes like flavored water; but this time, it’s more like wine. Very easy drinking. Everyone enjoyed it. I already gifted one of my 6 bottles. I will keep the rest since I can see/taste how this wine has improved. I’m more of a happy camper after this bottle. I can’t wait for that first hot summer BBQ/pool day. This wine will be perfect.

Dan

Popped another bottle over the weekend. It still has a killer nose, but the wine was harsh.
