Had some friends over celebrating my birthday. We had a very closed down Burgundy for one of the dishes, so what do you do? Wasenhaus 
It is actually the first time I taste the base 2022 Spätburgunder. It is really good! I just ordered another six pack last week, and are now even more happy about that decision.
And my friends know me well and gifted me this homemade Christmas ornament

I’m finishing off a second bottle of 2022 Spätburgunder Tradition from Rudolf Fürst. It’s very good. Despite the hype, 2022 was not the best Pinot Noir vintage in Germany—at least, not in the Mosel. As I mentioned before, Jonas Dostert didn’t even offer a 2022 Spätburgunder.

My success in this area comes down to a) not having a well organized cellar (hard to find, stil in a wine box) b) having a lot of distraction with many other bottles that kind of should be opened before (taking aging into consideration!)

Don‘t worry, I would always come to every tasting/study you make. Everything you organize is state of the art.
BUT you have to make it in Berlin, Tuscany or Flörsheim-Dalsheim. I will not travel to US in the next 4 years.

December 28 at Die Mosel in Traben-Trarbach. We will start with a panel discussion on the future of Burgundy grapes (Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay) in the Mosel. Then a BYOB Dinner with many winemakers in attendance. Follow by a live musical performance by Skinny Pablo and Jannis Melsheimer.
Check out the artwork for the flyer, it was designed by none other than Jeff Jank who had designed some of the most iconic album covers of all time including Madvillian.

It might be much longer than four years, especially if he establishes an autocratic regime.

2021 Wasenhaus - The 21 base is drinking really beautiful now. Tasted it alongside 2021 Les Horees Gevrey-Chambertine En Reniard and we preferred the Wasenhaus. The Les Horees might be better over time but I would not bet on it.
