If you have shops in mind that have online inventory I would be happy to review. As a resident of Connecticut I have zero knowledge of Dallas-area shops.
Iâll say. Scrolling up a little, I see I listed Gonon as a bargain under $50!
Extradimensional Wine Company Yeah! Is the correct domestic US answer. What do I win?
LâArco, these are from Veneto, but stunning if you have tried Quintarelli and want something for 20% of the price.
Stolo and Phelan Farm, at least if you are a member. Vineyards are 3 miles from the pacific in places that are cool year round.
Happily and sadly I remember those days.
The Kevin White Red Wine âBlue Labelâ. $16.50 per bottle by the case for wine club members. Havenât found anything better at that price point.

Old world it was Haut Bages Liberal purchased for a song that showed me how elegant yet captivating Bordeaux could be with some age.
Carlisle, Ridge, and Bedrock brought tears to my eyes both by the story and whatâs in the bottle by what they did with field blends from CA heritage vineyards. These sources are national treasures I think, and world class wines. Iâve advised folks early in their wine collecting to sign up for Bedrock and buy as many as you have space for.
Cooler climate syrahs from CA were formative for me. Lagier Meredith, Pax, Edmunds St John. Ojai and Jaffurs were stand outs but space limitations have kept me from following.
Iâd add Occhipintiâs Il Frappato to @Warren_Taranowâs excellent list from 10 years ago as this is essentially a Sicilian rendition of a Foillardâs CĂ´te du Py.
Steve, well said and i can relate.

This is so true. Farming, art, history, great people, incredible flavors, beautiful vineyards, and a buzz. Whatâs not to like?
Nicely done, I love that wine!
