Also, while I haven’t had the 07. I have had a few other vintages that got great scores. I like the wine, but think it is overrated.

I love the Galardi. Sure hope that the 07 will be available from garagiste for $60.

I’m a fan regardless of what the critics call it. I also think, though, that the correction in price to closer to $50 is very appropriate for the quality and history of the wine. I am not a buyer over about $65 or so and have found the past several vintages between $45-$60.

Do you really mean $20 for the 2003 Galardi Terra di Lavoro? That seems so far below wholesale.

Yup! Distributor dump in MD about 8 months ago. I got the last 6 pack and shared a few with some friends. Regular wholesale here is about $60 which is high compared to what others are saying.

If it retailed for around $50 I would think it was well priced. But in MD that wouldn’t be possible.

Maybe these little corrections will make the wine more affordable?

For me this wine, qualitatively, is about in line with some others I like… Clos Mogador, Roda, Caillou les Quartz, Fanti Brunello… to name a totally random handful. I can’t see paying more for it than the others, or more than about $60 for any of these wines.

And looking at that list, I’m not sure I should buy any of those relative to Cavallotto, F Rinaldi, Conti Costanti and others in the $45 range :slight_smile:
