Fusilli Arrabiatta w/Green Chile Lamb Sausage & Zinfandel

Last night’s supper was Rustichella di Abruzzo Fusilli with Rao’s Arrabiatta Sauce with a browned and sliced Shepherd’s green chile lamb sausage incorporated. The spicy pasta was enjoyed with a 2002 Ridge Lytton Springs (72% Zinfandel, 26% Petite Sirah, 2% Carignane) - light dusty tannins when consumed by itself; rich, spicy dark berry fruit that went very well with the spicy pasta; adequate acidity, with a medium long spicy berry fruit finish.

Then for dessert we had cheese - Doux de Montaigne, Blue Stilton, & aged gouda, with raisins and nuts and a 1999 Ravenswood Zinfandel Teldeschi. The dark berry fruit of the Zin was very good with nuts, raisin, and cheese.
