Based on the initial info I could find, Reininger seems like a lead candidate. The “king and queen vineyards” reference is most commonly attributed to Seven Hills and Pepper Bridge. And Reininger’s WW Syrah is a blend of those two vineyards. The 2022 vintage is on the winery website at $58 (which matches the 2021 list price in the e-mail). Google AI indicates the list price for the 2021 was also $58 (but take that with a big grain of salt). Not much info on the regular interwebs about that wine.
The review text snippets appear to be to reviews behind paywalls. So likely someone like Bargreen, Sullivan, Gregutt, Vinous, Dunnick, etc. For anyone who has access to those reviewers, it should be pretty simple to see if any of those reviews matches the snippets, to confirm (I don’t subscribe, so I can’t investigate that).
R179 is the Saviah Dugger Creek Vineyard Barbera. Really interesting that they’re offering it through Redacted at a substantial discount before releasing it (their website says will be released August). Great family and a great deal!
CT doesn’t show many producers making Conner Lee designated Chards in 2022. Probably wouldn’t be hard for someone with access to reviews to find the matching text quoted in the offer.
Based on the info in the e-mail, I’d say the candidates to focus on would include Ashan, Efeste, Brook & Bull – but, especially, J Bookwalter. Full Pull has offered tons of their wines, for a long time – and I can’t remember them being a previous Redacted (I think Ashan and B&B have been previous Redacted, but not sure…).
The review text isn’t from Owen Bargreen, so it’s probably from Gregutt, Vinous, Dunnick, or one of the other regular reviewers. But I’m not motivated enough by this offer to go further. But, if I was, I’d start with Bookwalter. YMMV…
