Full Pull

For anyone who is a fan of the St Cosme (Syrah) CdR (as I am), Full Pull is offering it today at $13/bottle. Can’t imagine finding it through any other source at a price better than that. I feel pretty confident that it will be a QPR champ at that price, as it is in pretty much every vintage…

Michael

Kirkland Costco has pretty consistently had it for $11, but it’s splitting hairs

Pike & Western’s case sale is also a great source for it

just picked up today and yes is the correct wine. Looking forward to drinking soon

For $20 a bottle, Redacted 122 has me interested.
Any of you sleuths guessing the producer?

Pretty sure it’s Prospice.

Nailed it.

Sean Sullivan has had some really good things to say about Prospice recently, with their newer releases.

They are BD newbies, it looks like, so deals could abound to try them Friday.

I enjoyed my visit there in April. Doing some good things and have a solid philosophy. I think trying to make two many wines though- having a bit more focus would benefit them.

Redacted 124 certainly appears to be the 2019 David Page WV pinot noir…

That was quick, William! Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

The info in today’s Redacted offer (2018 & 2019 Single Vineyard Yakima Valley Syrah from same producer) is a bit more sparse than usual. Don’t have anything definitive, but my best guess (based on limited sleuthing) would be that these are the W.T. Vintners Boushey Vineyard Birdhouse Black.

The best matching I found was in the Wine Enthusiast page for the 2018 Syrah – the 92 score matches, the 13.7% stated alcohol % matches, as does the quoted winery list price:

https://www.wineenthusiast.com/buying-guide/w-t-vintners-2018-boushey-vineyard-birdhouse-block-syrah-yakima-valley/?srsltid=AfmBOopaQbmXP-dz7kSLFRpp_epeXCWBPjnDuah5a_J_pUMH86OTml9v

If you click through to the shelf talkers page, they include a review from Sean Sullivan. The review starts with “… Coming from one of the most coveted spots of this esteemed vineyard, …”. That matches text in the offer, as does the reference to “purity”.

https://www.wineenthusiast.com/buying-guide/shelf-talkers/tall/w-t-vintners-2018-boushey-vineyard-birdhouse-block-syrah-yakima-valley

I couldn’t find much info on the 2019 wine, so I don’t have anything that correlates to the info on that wine in the offer. Interestingly, CT doesn’t even have any entries for the Birdhouse Block wines (though there are entries for the Boushey Syrah, without the Block reference). And, yet, we know the Birdhouse Block Syrah exists, because they’ve been offered on BerserkerDays.

Again, nothing definitive on this one. But I don’t have a better alternative. As always, YMMV…
