FS - 2007 Havens Wine Cellars Black and Blue was $40-50, now $15

Cameron,

When is Lot 200 going to be available and can you tell us more about it?

This weekend I had 2 bottles of Lot #143 and #116 and they were wonderful. I am glad that I backed the truck on both of them. [winner.gif]

Hmmmm, the 2007 Bourriquot saga is very interesting. There is a new label, Virage Napa Valley, that is making a Bourriquot-like wine from the same vineyards that Havens used. It sounds like they bought ‘raw’ fruit from the vineyards Havens sourced from, though it would seem unlikely these are the same exact blocks if Havens had an '07 Bourriquot in the works. Then again, maybe Virage bought the juice in bulk and did some blending. I would not be surprised at all if Virage owned the Bourriquot name given that the proprietress Emily Richer has talked on her blog about modeling the wine after Bourriquot and perhaps releasing in the future a wine with that name.

Done, Thank you sir.

Thanks Cameron. Please post on berserkers as well in case I miss the CHwine email. Is most of the remainder shiners?

Give up the CH email - just post on here, and send your folks here. Easier for all!

+1! Plus, it’ll sell out faster here [cheers.gif]

website for now…Sam’s Club is supposed to take the rest here shortly.

Will keep everyone posted. Everything in shiners plus a few 2005 and 2006 wines…

Tomorrow sometime the 2007 Napa Merlot from Havens goes on sale for $12 and we release the 2007 Hudson Vineyard syrah for $12 as well…

Any honest thoughts on the 169 or hudson releases?

Honestly, their both dynamite. I shit thee not. The 2007 merlot opens up beautifully but it takes a while and it’ll age like no other Napa Merlot. The Hudson syrah is 68% Block O and 22% T Block (T Block being the most famous Block in the vineyard) and the wine is really aromatically intense now and just beginning to “delineate” and gain complexity. The palate is a little behind and just beginning to unwind but you can see its all there.

Wine of this quality for $12 is a serious rarity.

That said, we do guarantee all of our sales so if the wines fail to meet your standards then we’ll refund your money or work out some sort of replacement deal. We want happy customers.

Cameron

Look forward to these. I have yet to be diappointed on any of my purchases.

I see the Lot 169 Merlot marked down to $12, but I don’t see a Hudson Syrah up on the site. Is that released yet Cameron?

It’s on there as lot 178

Damn…this sold out quick! And here I thought waiting a day was safe

Good work Cameron [welldone.gif]

Lot 179 is back on now…

Looks like it’s sold out for real now, I’m glad I picked up 3 1/2 cases of it. Some amazing juice for that price, especially since I got the last 2 cases on your 20% off sale. Did you sell some of that off to Sam’s or did it all sell online? Any word on when we can expect the splits and magnums of Bourriquot?

Hi Patrick, I think some of it went to Sam’s Clubs, yes. Use our Lot Locator to find near you.

Magnum’s and splits should go out next week for release.

Cheers!
