I nominate myself, as being an empoverished post-collegiate graduate, I need said free wines. Don’t make me resort to Franzia! ![]()
I will
I will
I will!
Have had a fair amount of the Boston Boardmembers to my place a few times for Offlines and surely would be happy to have another. Bring on the juice! ![]()

Just sayin’.
PS: Back then, he had an “h” in his last name.
Don’t know what happened in the interim.
I recommend Levenberg and Abood ![]()
There isn’t another palate in the world I trust more than Doug’s.
I live near Napa, all I drink is Napa cab, and I’d be happy to give one a rip!
Shouldn’t this be in Commerce Corner?
Oh wait…wrong board, what was I thinking…
This cracks me up… here, let me get this round… geez
No good deed goes unpunished, eh Manlin?
If you want to know what Parker will think, send them to me. Here are my reviews of his 2002 Emigre and Exile which I posted before RP reviewed them. Later his scores were dead center in my ranges (95 and 98, respectively).
Besides, I like free wine. I doubt anyone else here does. ![]()
Another vote for Commish Mark Franks…
Or maybe Lyle Fass.
Have to agree with the Pobega votes. He sounds like the right man for this sort of venture.

What’s all this East Coast/West Coast Crap? The “West Coast”, that’s like Ohio, right?
As with all things in life, we all know the world revolves around the East Coast. ![]()
come on, you cannot be that naive can ya? ![]()
My vote si for the Boston folks…haha, ok, yes some bias here. But take a look at any of the boston poker notes on this board and ebob. Especially those notes by Michael Malinoski - completely independent, well thought out and well written. He flies under the radar - but check it out. Also, my other thought on this is that we, the poker group, all taste together, so you’d be getting a wide array of opinions. Just a thought. (maybe we’ll even invite pobega up!) ![]()

I would like to offer 3 different bottles of a new, high end, 06 Napa wine to two people on the board. The wine is produced by Jonathan Maltus, who owns several Bordeaux properties, including Le Dome. He also makes wine in Australia. I tasted the California wines in Bordeaux in June and really liked them.
The wine is named “The World’s End.” They are not officially released. Parker has not tasted them yet. All I ask is, the person post their honest opinion, good or bad on the board.
Full disclosure. I like Jonathan Maltus. I think some of his wines are very good. I have no financial interest in this venture. I get nothing out of this except for helping Maltus get exposure for his project.
You guys pick. Who should taste the wine?
Jeff,
I’m surprised no one else has asked this yet. Are these the regular wines or the special cuvées for Jay Miller? ![]()
I think that for the emotional abuse I am suffering at the hands of Manlin and Brennan I should be compensated.
So, Leve, just send me the friggin wine already! ![]()

Lightweight… we haven’t even gotten to Level 2 with you… I save Level 10 for those that are in real need of getting their mind righted, not the merely naive or wishful, that never goes past Level 1
I can’t speak for Jim though, but I sure do like his style…
I’ll be in Santa Monica with a few wine drinking friends for dinner Monday night. I’ll gladly taste anything you would like honest feedback on.
Otherwise, you can probably find someone much more sophisticated. I’ll still line 'em up with some '96 Bordeauxs we plan on consuming.
