Not that new, but not mentioned above - Kaluz (on the intercoastal) is great.

Hard to believe that place is still open (it was my roommate’s favorite place when we lived down there 40 years ago). And you can watch the jets on very final approach to FLL directly overhead after dinner

Be careful if the dinner special is called the Last Supper.

Even that list is a little old though, and I would add ETARU (which opened right in downtown FLL last year, in addition to the branch described in the link).
Also BOURBON STEAK is in Aventura just south of the county border, but a good option from FLL if you want to avoid Miami traffic.
