For Those About To Rocche

  • 2001 Vietti Barolo Rocche - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (11/4/2014)
Absolutely in the zone. Complex aromatics of truffle, tar, sweet earth and meats, liquorice and a little spice. Full, dense and savoury in the mouth with all sorts of ethereal perfume. Tannins are starting to meld into the wine and it is quite balanced and harmonious.

We salute you!

Jeremy always comes up with the worst (best) puns.

“Tannins are starting to meld…” Is this mature? Or just getting there? Thanks!

Peter, not fully mature but a bloody good drink now.
