why would anyone want that?!? maybe i’m weird for thinking it, but i think the Riedel somm. burg. glass is too big.

i’ve found the diameter of the opening too wide to capture the wine’s bouquet well — it seems to escape/dissipate for me … obviously, mmv.

just dont swirl it, it’ll take the head of the glass right off the stem. Ask me how I know! Thank god I did it with water while hand washing them and not with a whole bottle of wine that deserved to be served in them.

The glass it comes in holds a whole bottle already…I guess if you want to get all klassy and stuff you have to buy this glass.

Stratus winery had these in their lobby. Pretty wild looking. I think they are a neat novelty, although I don’t think they have any real usefulness.

I have a wine glass like this, purchased in Vegas a bunch of years ago. Whenever we have someone who likes bad wine and a lot of it, it always makes for an amusing joke when we fill it for them.
