Yum. I haven’t made biscuits in forever and it used to be a regular thing for me. Time to dig out the flour, butter and lard.

Chefsteps “Rich as f*ck” biscuits. Easy to make and, well, they live up to their name. in fact, they’re a bit rich. So they have a scaled back version. But, I’ve made them a few times and they are revelatory. As the foundation for seasonally ripe strawberry shortcake, they are the type of food that can induce a tear of joy.
