I’ll try to settle this . . . .
When I was asked by Rusty Gaffney of PinotFile at WOPN whether I had more CA pinot or Burgundy in my cellar for a grape radio segment, I thought for a few seconds and then confidently answered . . . .
Neither - I drink mainly rhones!!!

Me, I prefer Jessie Helms Winery North Carolina Pinot Noir 1972, which is from the Yadkin Valley appellation contrôlée, specially grown for those keen on regurgitation; a fine wine which really opens up the sluices at both ends.

If only you guys could make a better job of convincing the guys on the East Coast to drink more Cali Pinot I would be able to afford even more Burgs…
