Fine white Burgundy: Gilles Bouton & Fils Saint Aubin 1er Cru "En Remilly" 2008

Gilles Bouton & Fils Saint Aubin 1er Cru “En Remilly” 2008
Bought this for €13 at the Strasbourg wine fair. Nice owners. A cousin to Sylvain Langoreau, whose wines I know already as fine St Aubins.
This was my first taste from this estate, with an attractive label of roses…
Butterscotch, toast, red apple on the nose.
Just a touch of reduction, and that is a good sign - given the phenomenon of premature oxidation with white Burgundy.
Fine attack, energetic palate, displaying that 2008 acidity, but softened by healthy richness.
A touch tart on the finish?
Leaves a brisk feeling.
Just a nice drink, and as the French say: ça se boit comme le petit lait !
Delicious.
