2009 Dom Perignon

Drinking fantastically at the moment. Lovely brioche and less acidic than the 08 but vibrant and incredibly well integrated atm. Lovely although it may still improve.

2018 William and Mary Shifflett Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon

Nowhere near ready. 4 hours of decanting barely blunted the ample tannins. Clearly a lot here, with lovely fruits and a strong core of acidity but the goods were locked away and only started to emerge with the last glass 6 hours or so after opening. Wait 3-5 on this one.

Went well with Flannery hanger and tomahawk as well as Morgan ranch ribeye
2011 Chateau Yquem

Good but not great vintage, which was still delicious. Not overly concentrated or sweet but had good focus and acidity and was very precise. Enjoyable but nothing transcendent here.

2017 Jouan MSD VV

Wow nose with bramble, earth, and sous bois along with lovely dark fruits. Took awhile to integrate but was beautiful. Will see how it does day 2.
