Not where you’re headed with this but semi-topical. I have no proof but fundamentally feel like the sparkling water from glass bottles tastes significantly better than the sparkling from plastic bottles, within a given producer. Even if you’re drinking from a glass.
Could be a fun blind taste test, and, well, it’s not like my breasts can get much larger.
We go through a case of Saratoga at home every other week. Love the stuff. I do recall enjoying a lot of the sparkling waters we had in Spain but don’t remember the brands.
I used to spend $100’s each month on San Pellegrino, but have moved to the Sodastream for bubbling filtered water. Saves quite a bit of money, but isn’t quite as satisfying.
Abatilles - it’s from Bordeaux and I love that stuff - comes in glass bottles. Found it again while we were down in St Martin (french territory) and I was so excited that people looked at me weird.
Probably both, but I found it at a cute sandwich shop/patisserie in central St Martin. This is the stuff they serve in most of the tasting experiences in Bordeaux, so might be a nostalgia thing…but I swear it’s the best sparkling I’ve ever tasted.
Haven’t tried some of the more obscure brands mentioned in this thread, but for me Topo Chico almost hurts (in the best way possible) it is so powerfully carbonated. It could also be the minerals, I have no idea. Great stuff.
Not sure I trust Topo Chico but that said I’m not sure I trust any water unfortunately.
I also read they now add carbonation because they had to increase filtering whiched stripped it to some degree.
Not sparkling but we get Mountain Valley in 5 gallon Glass jugs for our main drinking water.
Ha, I do worry a bit every time on the flip. Don’t overthink it Robert, just a Clean and Jerk and down into the hole!
I’ve have one chance to hit the bullseye with a ceramic floor
