Basanti has agreed to host is once again. Indian dishes served family style.

I reached out to Basanti Indian Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano and they want us back and can accommodate our current 22 person roster. If it grows enough we can buy them, out for the evening.
@Arnold_Caplan will Yarom join us like last year? Summoning @Mike_Stoneking and @Dana_Stoneking are you two coming down Friday?

I’m waiting for a per head cost from Rashon @ Basanti then I’ll have you commit money in advance.

The menu is set. The cost will be $60 per person payable in advance. See attachments for payment info, PayPal Friends and Family or Venmo. I’ll keep the sheet updated.

We’re up to 31 committed and 27 paid as of 1/19/26. At 40 we can buy out the entire restaurant for the night. If anyone else in the OC area would like to join us please let me know. We need a confirmed attendance list paid by Sunday 2/15/26.

1/21 Update: 30 committed plus 2 tentative. 8 more and we buy out the restaurant. 19 days till the payment deadline. We’re almost there. If you’re on the fence this is a good time to join in.

Dang! I would really love to join and meet you all, but will be up in Los Olivos looking at wedding venues (and maybe sneaking in a winery visit or two)
