Anyone know if there was any leftover D&R inventory? Are they gonna try and sell through it with any library releases? Wasn’t sure what happened to the wine after the shutdown. Thanks.
The Extradimensional wines will be sold starting in mid-September, offered to a mailing list. That release will consist of a Chenin Blanc-Semillon blend, a light red that blends red and white grapes, an orange wine and a Mourvedre blend. They’re from the 2019 and 2020 vintages, initially intended for Dirty & Rowdy bottles but now purchased back by Wallace and Graham for their new company.
There will still be some Dirty & Rowdy bottles in circulation, at least for a little while, since some of the 2020 wines did get bottled under the Dirty & Rowdy label.
Love the labels…like a mashup of Mayfield Parrish and all those Art Deco posters from from the 20’s and 30’s, with a dollop of Arts and Crafts. Midwest still patiently waiting for the wine. Advanced age has not altered my impatience.
Tangent but I think it’s safe to say that Stargate is a seriously underated movie. I didn’t watch the show at all but I feel like there was a lot of meat left on the bone when it comes to sequel potential.
Awww yeah! We are psyched that the wines are starting to land (for those who chose the 1st ship date). Also- If you ordered a shirt, they are shipping today and tomorrow.
I realize that I did not include anticipated drinking windows for wines in the Monday decanting / update email.
2019 Chendawg Yeah!- Now-2025+
2019 After Midnight Light Red - Now-2025+
2019 Hold Me Tight Mourvèdre - Now -2029+
2019 Old Vine Orange Yeah! - Now- 2023+*
I think this wine can go longer, yet so much of the pleasure is in how deep space this wine is. That will mellow out in years.
If you have multiples of any, I wouldn’t hesitate to open one of any this year following the suggested decant times in Monday’s email (or double-decant in the AM, leave the cork out, and serve for dinner).
For a quick recap on the wines (and some fancy dancing)- the video below gives a quick recap.
