Exporting US Wines

Hey Adam, that’s awesome your wines are here. Mind if I ask who carries them? I took a look via Wine-Searcher and it wasn’t obvious.

Interesting to note that Korea imports both Di Costanzo and Walter Scott. And Walter Scott’s partner in the UK sends wine to Singapore. But not Hong Kong? I’m curious to understand how that came to be. Just would have thought it would be the other way around given Hong Kong’s lack of import duties and status as a regional wine hub juxtaposed with Korea’s high duties.

We will see. This year could change a lot for international business for all of us. And I dont think it will change for the better. Our Canadian importers are gently raising the middle finger.

Fun!

They might do both. I am not very tapped into that side of Justerini & Brooks.

I thought I might give an update on this thread…

In the last week we have heard back from multiple European importers that are reporting boycotts of American products. Combined this with the larger wine market slow down, this has left them wary.

In addition, the LCBO in Ontario, Canada has canceled ALL America orders of beer, wine and spirits.

My Swedish importer has seen 20% reduction in sales of his US portfolio, and rapidly falling.
