Envoyer for newbies?

I’ve bought a fair amount of wine from Envoyer over the years. Nothing but great service.

Terry was the absolute best shipping/warehouse person I’ve ever dealt with. I’m not surprised to read that she’s no longer working there - I had kinda figured it out. That made my decision to drop off the list much easier.

I did a number of pickups after work and Terry was often the only person at Envoyer, staying past regular business hours to fulfill orders. She was the best!

Yes. I got shipping notification on 12/15 from Terry at Envoyer.

It took about a week from paying for shipping to receiving some of the wines. 6 bottles that are not pre-arrival were not sent, it took 2 more emails asking why to get a response. Sarah is chasing them down with no ETA.

I value my time more than they do it seems. The frustrating experience continues.

That is my main issue is time. I helped a friend get some Champagne and I am not going to count the amount of emails back and forth and the sub outs. That is my issue here. Don’t charge someone for wine and then sub out 3 of the wines for something else.

Not sure what people are not getting here.

I am charged for Vilmart. We go to ship and we don’t have Vilmart so we can offer something else. Guess everyone here is fine with that kind of business model.

I’ve never, ever had a wine I ordered substituted by Envoyer.

Friends I helped had 3 this fall.

Greg this is not a one or two time issue. Helped my friends get a bunch of wine from Buckley. Had one or two wines that were in stock that they noted right away and shipped the rest out. Read through the entire post and see that others have had some issues including many defending them.

I was initially very high on Envoyer, but pre-arrival is stretching towards two years on a few items, which has me very concerned.

I know logistics/shipping is a nightmare right now, but I can’t even get them to ship the stuff I have in stock.

Think you answered the original post well David. Yet so many defending them.

I’ve heard a lot of positive stuff here about Envoyer. However, I am already on a number of retailer lists. So, wondering if Envoyer has any specific leg up on the competition (e.g. Full Pull, K&L, Kermit Lynch, etc.), in terms of price, service, overall quality, etc?

Prices solid, service see many other posts including mine, selection is solid.

I’ve also had positive experiences with Envoyer and will continue to purchase from them. That said, however, I do notice that their shipping department is not as efficient as before (back when Terri was there). Also, prices are creeping up and there seems to be fewer really good deals, at least for the wines I like. I find myself buying more from WDC these days thanks to the coupons and the various cash back sites.

If true, this will be a deal-breaker for me. Anyone know if there’s a similar operation (grey market, pre-arrival, email offers, etc) on the East Coast? I suspect not due to the unique license importers like Envoyer can acquire in CA.
