Entering Cellartracker New Wine info

I had a new wine last night that isn’t in Cellartracker so I was going to enter it. I’m at a loss as to the AVA. Fruit is from the Bastoni Vineyard which, if you are familiar with Santa Rosa, is on Reibli Rd north of Fountain Grove off Mark West Spings Rd heading towards Calistoga. It’s part of the RRV waterhsed but I would not consider it the RRV appellation. The bottle just lists it as Sonoma County which I guess I could use but I consider that a subregion rather than an AVA. Should I just leave the appellation out of the descriptor and stop at Sonoma County?

Umm, in order of Country, Region, SubRegion, Appellation this is: USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma County

The labeled AVA wins.

Don’t listen to him. That guy doesn’t know anything about CT.

Are you being sarcastic? newhere

huh?

If one has to ask, my comment was clearly a poor attempt at humor.

He was actually just making fun of my severe sarcasm impairment, and I was playing along for fun.

Brian, what possible reason could there be to assign an appellation that is more specific than what is listed on the label? I can’t think of any.

Just askin

BTW I’m with Lewis - the label is always your guide, despite any additional information you might know about the wine/vineyard.
