Momofuku Noodle Bar - Still great and no corkage on Mondays. Otherwise corkage is $25.

Had a quick girls trip with my 7 year old daughter and we went to Momufuku, Penny, Four Horsemen, and Chambers. Wouldn’t necessarily ā€œrecommendā€ the latter 3 with kids but we have a high tolerance for friction and had lovely meals at all of them. I’ll say that Penny was super gracious about hosting her. We got on line for Four Horsemen around 20 minutes before they opened, but on a rainy-ish day, and didn’t have to wait too long.

My wife has a girls trip coming up, majority of the trip they’ll be staying in the East Village but for some funny reason the way it worked out she’ll have a night on her own where she’ll be in the UWS for the night without much on the agenda. I thought this sounded like it might be a chance for her to try to get into Tatiana because she could show up early and will be a solo diner. Havent seen it mentioned much here lately so was curious for people’s thoughts on it: will she be able to get in as a solo? Is it worth trying? Other suggestions for a place she should check out UWS instead? I dont think she wants like 8 course Michelin but something solid!

If you’re talking about Tatiana, I assume you mean the Upper West Side (UWS). Your wife should check out Essential by Christophe. We live on the UWS and it’s the best restaurant in the neighborhood.

Youre right, fixed it!

She says Essential maybe looks a little…. Composed (?) for this instance? It looks good though!

Got a res at Coqodaq on Tuesday night. Very excited. Any can’t miss recommendations?

Heading to King tonight. Anyone been recently?

Craft is closing at the end of the month. 50% off wine. List is still very expensive, but 50% off is better than nothing

Saint Julivert in Cobble Hill ast night: omg! Loved the raw scallop shiso leaf tacos; the wild shrimp with salted kumquat, pomelo, and nuoc cham (extra omg); and the insane boudin, which was like a deconstructed seafood sausage banh mi. The only whiff was the Iberico steaklette - don’t bother. $35 corkage; we brought 2023 Dureuil-Janthial Rully 1er Vauvry. Great cocktails, too.

You can also sit at the bar at Christophe which will feel a little more casual. They still offer the full tasting menu options but you can order them Ć  la carte, as well as a few other items like a burger
