Thank you! That is at least tentatively encouraging. On my one previous visit (old chef) the views and service were great but the food was boring.
I am going next Wed and will report back.
BTW - I am not a burger person but they sent over a burger from the Bar menu and it was easily one of the best burgers I have ever had. It is only available in the bar.
agreed and well said re union square hospitality places.
is the manhatta chef the original chef de cuisine once rose passed the baton when coucou first opened? i went when daniel was chef and it was amazing. went back a year later and my bill was double and food was half as good.
Not sure if he was the chef then but he was definitely in charge during my last couple of meals at Le Coucou and the food was very good but they were Chef Danielās creations. He is doing his own thing at Manhatta and I really liked his menu.
Just wanted to check if folks here would recommend a restaurant with white truffle add-on.
White truffle add on options at Eatly are great but I am looking for some other options.
Thanks.
Regarding the peking duck question, just had lunch at Wuās Wontonā¦man that was some tasty peking duck!!! And everything else!
I was just at Oxalis in Brooklyn last night and they have a white truffle add-on dish right now that is described as āwhite truffle, sorana, charred citrusā - white truffles on sorana beans with a citrus lift. I did not have it, but the rest of the meal was outstanding.
While I like Wuās a lot, I find their duck disappointing. I guess different tastesā¦.
I second the burger. Solid choice while sitting at the bar.
Has anyone been to Artesano in Tribeca?
For any Atomix/Atoboy fans they just opened their new restaurant Naro today in Rockefeller Center.
Three star review for Claud in the NY Times. Same for Le Rock a couple of weeks ago. Pete must be in a good mood. I have not been to either yet. Going to Claud next week.
canāt wait to try some apps at the naro bar asap
iām in that area pretty often and always end up going to the modern bar
sorryā¦claud is not a ny times 3 star quality restaurantā¦er, it isā¦but it shouldnt be.
We really liked Estiatorio Milos, Greek restaurant in Hudson Yards. Great food and service , but priceyz
Agreed. Been there twice. Great food, service and wine list. But itās not ā3 starsā
I hope I got that right. It was in our hard copy this morning.
You did, indeed 3 stars from Wells. Hereās the full review:
āā¦doesnāt have as many bottles below $75 as it should.ā
i found this comment hysterical and absurd. the arbitrary nature of this o/u line without any context is useless and confusing.
Thatās one of my evaluation criteria of wine lists. The same price point.
Seems sensible, unless his āshould beā is more than 8 or do.
