Eating and Drinking in Los Angeles

I need to know the location! @CFu find out for me!

A friend in the film business is guessing here based on the video they posted.

They rent out the Paramour (which is walking distance from my house) for shoots all the time. It’s in a residential neighborhood, so I’m not sure if they could swing a restaurant there. Who knows.

I went to a fully catered function there once, so I’m assuming they have the capability. It’s a very cool place.

Yeah, friends have gotten married there. But I’ve been working with the Silver Lake Reservoirs Conservancy for 8 years now and am moderately familiar with how unhappy people near the reservoirs can get with proposals like that. But maybe if you own Silvertop, the joy of being able to walk to Noma would outweigh that.

No guessing required.

I don’t see a location mentioned?

I think RenƩ Redzepi nailed what is exciting about LA, exactly what I was referring to and what Michelin misses.

Don’t count your visas before they hatch.

Pretty clear it’s a residence at Paramour. It could be anywhere though and it wouldn’t mater to me. I suspect the stampede to get in will be a spectacle.

Already preparing myself to miss out on reservations!

It’s a 5-month residency. I don’t know where it’s at. Can’t wait to go! I’ve never been.

This probably should go in the Dallas thread but he’s an LA guy

Really sad to read that Melody Wine Bar is closing. It was a really special place where we had many wonderful times. It was always busy; however, people just did not spend money. It is tough environment.

You can really tell how much it meant to its customers.

Paramour is an amazing estate. I almost had my wedding there (until they mentioned the slight case of the price ), but it was a fabulous tour of the property. Would be an amazing venue for a place like Noma.

Finally went to Ki last night. Fantastic meal. 12-13 courses (first 3-4 are single bites) - well paced. Started at 645 - finished by 9.

Light years ahead of what he was cooking at kinn. Highly recommend
