Ma Cuisine really good back in May.
Madeleine was better tho.
Slight thread drift, but going to be visiting burgundy in a few weeks - some research indicates that wine stores in beaune can be picked over (not that we’re looking for DRC - more younger generation, more natural leaning producers), but are there better options in dijon? Or are there under the radar stores in beaune to look at?
Caveau de Chassagne Montrachet has some stuff, may not be able to find fantastic deals but prob still cheaper than us.
Mon Millesime in Beaune still has a good retail offering, particularly if you are looking for things with some bottle age.
Avintures and Mes Bourgognes are your best bet.
Those are the only spots I visit these days.
Ton Tons has a little wine that you are looking for . . . but oh my gosh, is Pépita a lot to handle.
And it’s rarely open when I happen to pass.
Thanks all! We have a couple domaine visits and restaurant reservations set up already, so I’ll report back after we visit.
I had pretty good luck at La Grande Boutique du Vin on the way to the main highway out of Beaune.
Yes, and don’t you dare to criticize any wines. All her wines are grrrrreat.
