Awesome with roasted leg of lamb - garlic, rosemary, thyme, S&P & olive oil. Provencal herbs via Central Coast! A very good value at $19 here, pure fruit, herbs, and a tinge of acidity, lovely nose and finish, not quite CdP, but a very Rhone-ish. What a nice bottle, great job.
Sean, I haven’t had one in a while, but I have enjoyed the Pape star in the past. Like you said, not exactly a ringer for CdP, but for Approx $17-$20 a nice bottle of wine
I find this wine a great buy for the $$$$. As others have said, not exactly CdP, but then again, you really can’t DO CdP here in CA, can you?!?!??!
