  Absolutely beautiful, with a golden green color, rich texture, and a seamless integration of vanilla, lemon cream, pineapple, and gentle spice. Reminds me of a rich gold velvet cloth… lovely stuff (94 pts.)
• 2006 Rivers-Marie Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley (1/7/2011)
  Still young and full of bite, this cab nails the essence of currant and delivers it with a silky-smooth and glassy texture (92 pts.)
• 2007 Rhys Alesia Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (1/7/2011)
  Very restrained, smooth, and savory in taste. Not much aroma, probably just needs more time than I have patience. (90 pts.)

Thanks for the notes, Steve. We opened a bottle of this a few nights ago and we liked it too. At first there were some bright pomegranate notes that turned darker with secondary notes of pine and cranberry throughout the evening. Definitely a good QPR to enjoy while the single vineyard bottlings rest.
