It’s standard British usage to use “ise” where American English uses “ize”. This is not an error, really.
Wouldn’t be, I’ve heard the argument before, except, if you look further in the article, it is spelled with a Z. One of the two is a mistake. Can’t have it both ways. It’s not Burger King
