Why buy new when aged is sub $40 at auction. richards goes for a little more.

I hadn’t bought for many years (since Pax) and hadn’t had any experience with the Donelan wines until I attended a Donelan/Cayuse seminar at the RP Matter of Taste in Chicago a few months back. I was extremely impressed with the wines, as were the guys that I was with - don’t offhand recall which wines though. Had a chance to try a number of the different bottlings and the differences were very interesting. Also just generally liked them/what they are doing. So, when I saw the offer in my inbox, I was quite interested in checking it out and was favorably inclined. I haven’t gotten a chance yet to link in and see what I was being offered but the comments about price on this thread are a bit deflating as it probably means that I will not end up ordering…
