The best Sangiovese vineyard in California is Ascona in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Alas, only two rows. Stagiaire is currently sourcing it, making into a fantastic natural wine.

Hi Glen and K, I know I’m late to the conversation here but I just dusted off my WB account. I’ve been making the Benessere wines since 2013 and in addition to Sangiovese we are producing Aglianico, Sagrantino, Montepulciano, and Primitivo on the red side, with Nero D’Avola and Teroldego coming soon. On the white side we have Pinot Grigio, and will soon release a Vermentinio and a Falanghina, all grown in our estate vineyard in St. Helena. Cheers!
