Doing a night of LdH Vina Tondonia Gran Reserva Blanco

This sounds equally weird, because - to my understanding - 6 years in barrels would correspond not to Tondonia Gran Reserva but to Tondonia Reserva (which used to be 6 Año before they changed the name to “Reserva”).

You are right of course. The label I found is not accurate. Internet.

From the LdH website, where we should have looked right away:

“Barrel: 10 years, being racked twice per year and fined with fresh egg whites. Bottle: Rest, unfiltered, bottled in 75 cl. bottles.”

I didn’t need to, because I know it by heart already. [wink.gif] My point was that this information concerns the most recent vintages and I was wondering if the info on 1981 GR Blanco being aged for +20 in barrels is correct, because the LdH site doesn’t have any information on the older GR vintages.

Wonderful notes, George, so glad it was the rewarding experience you hoped for. Glad to have your experience for future reference if I’m lucky enough to run into one of these older bottles.

Geez George, you drank some great wines…but how was the fishing?
