FYSA: “Wine facility w/ 4.5M gallons went up in flames in Eastern WA”
Oh no. That’s terrible news…hopefully nobody was hurt. And hopefully it doesn’t spread, as that’s prime wildfire land, depending on where it happened. I’d imagine that, if it was an/in a winery, the immediate surrounding area is well irrigated, but there’s still windborne risk.
Local news piece at https://www.tri-cityherald.com/news/business/agriculture/article315648901.html states that this was warehouse and tasting facility for UpWest wines, a company specializing in “bulk wine solutions”. 4.5M gallons is 1,892,705 cases…bulk indeed.
No injuries per the newspiece, so just a big loss, hopefully insured.

Thanks, Fred.
Thankfully no injuries…curious to see how it started as I am sure there will be a full investigation.
