I have that hat, along with a black satin cape with a bright red lining. I could wear that to the event, but it would look too normal for Brooklyn. If I want to look out of place, I’d wear my Republican costume. Dark wool suit, white shirt, American flag tie.
I’ll check with N to see if the apartment is registered as a cape safe space.

Now that it’s been two days and I’m mostly recovered I want to jump on to give a big tip of the hat to @gavin.f for his hospitality. Incredibly generous to have us degenerates over to feed us while we cause general chaos and break and/or spill his glasses all over his home. Thank you!
Every bottle was fantastic, and I didn’t jot any notes, but from memory Vilmart and Churchill ‘96 had a slight edge. Grand Siecle no.23 was also fantastic in a silky soft and crowd pleasing style.
