Looking to leave ATL on October 15th, and return on November 14th…flights on Delta are just under $900 (coach)…would love to do something direct if possible (most likely Delta)…but not something that is $900.
Michelle and I flew SFO->CDG->SFO (May 6 - June 5 of this year) on Continental, going through Houston, for $575 each after taxes. Seems like you should be able to do better than $900 from ATL for sure.
We were trying to go to France for a week in September, finally bagged the trip. Air Fares to CDG are absolutely crazy. Airlines are crying that they have empty seats but I have not seen them. We were quoted 12K each for a business class ticket from Oregon to CDG, from a discount consolidater.
I have 400K miles with United, absolutely worthless, no space available for upgrades or anything else.
Maybe next spring we will try again. With the dollar maybe all the seats are taken with Europeans traveling to the US.
First class is about $3500 on Delta from ATL.
expedia.fr gives me $700 with United with a transfer in Charlotte, but changing a bit the date (in particular the return date which is a Saturday) I can find it for $600 still on United with return on 13 Nov.
Check kayak.com, opodo, expedia… play a bit with the dates and you should find something even better, probably around $500.
If you can hold off till after Labor Day, I will guarantee you that the fall fares will begin.
I paid $835 with fees direct on Delta (operated by Air France) for a flight from Boston to CDG. It seemed one of the few “lower” priced options, most were near or over 1k.
My starting date has changed slightly, I can now be there 1-2 days before my initial given date…so this will have me leaving ATL October 13th or 14th.
Kinda went the long way around…but I got the flight that I wanted (coming back form CDG to ATL).
ATL–>Zurich–>CDG
