Customers say the darndest things!

First phone call of the day: “What do they use to sweeten Manischewitz?”

Slight drift but the same general subject:

Shopper: “Is mozzarella di bufala really made from buffalo milk?”
Butcher: “No, no one milks buffalo. It’s cow’s milk.”

If it’s here in ATL this is not surprising…

I think i would get an idiot at least once or twice a week. My favorite is this guy comes with very attractive girl (valentine night) and breaks chops from the moment he sits down. Orders a bottle of Champagne. I opened and poured, after 2 minutes waiter comes to look for me and tells me that the guy is complaining that champagne is no good. I come to the table and ask whats wrong and he replies “there’s no foam.” Needless to say it was hard for me to explain to him that Champagne is not a wheat beer, which retains foam well after it’s poured, but rather well chilled champagne loses it’s foam immediately. He got nasty and so one

Leo, just stick your finger in the glass, swirl vigurously, and voila, you give them foam!

Many restaurants list their wines by a ‘bin number’ so ordering your wine by number is actually pretty common. Sounds like a pretty easy mistake ot make. No fault of the customer here, in my book.
