I have been to that kind of party on many occasions. When I am there I drink beer.
But, funny that you mention the Blackstone Merlot. That is always a crowd pleaser for casual wine drinkers. I have 2 bottles lined up for this week that I plan to serve to some family members on Christmas.

Oh, The party I attended was not much better last night…I drank beer [suicide.gif] other than the wine gift I brought, the wine was basically not worth drinking.
It was a gringo party, I was out of there by 10. The food was great and the beer matched very well
