Do any of you make ribs in your crockpot or slow cooker, and just let them simmer all day? If so, what are your secrets? Ingredients? Technique? Beef? Pork? Etc etc? Mom used to make the best ribs and let them slow cook all day long, but I have never done it and want to give it a try. Looking for ideas! Thanks in advance! -mJ
Not a crockpot recipe, but I’ll sometimes dry rub some pork ribs, toss them in a baking pan with some water in the bottom and put them in the oven for 2-3 hours. They basically steam and the dry rub flavor works into the meat.
For short ribs I borrow Boulud’s recipe most of the time.
